One of the Nashville Fire Department ambulances hit a fire truck and the other, a building as the drivers attempted to elude police.

Two men who drove away in Nashville Fire Department medic ambulances in separate incidents Saturday are behind bars.

One was stolen from TriStar Summit Medical Center and driven into a nearby county with its lights and siren activated while the other was taken from the scene of a medical incident, WKRN reported.

After taking the rig from the hospital, Gary Marby Jr. struck several cars which injured one person. Authorities were following it using GPS.

An officer deployed spike strips, which deflated some of the ambulance’s tires, but the chase continued until it crashed into an apartment complex.

Marby heeded warning that if he didn't stop running, they were going to send in the K-9.

He was charged with theft evading and resisting arrest, reckless driving, and criminal impersonation of a first responder.

Later, another crew on the scene of a medical emergency found themselves in the same predicament.

Robert Whitney struck an officer with a door while running out of a house and hopped int the seat of the ambulance.

When he put it in gear, it hit a fire truck that also was on the scene. No emergency personnel were injured.
